Abstract: Innovation is an important driving force to promote global economic development. It has been a global trend, but the innovation pattern does not change much. There might be gaps among different countries. China's innovation capability increased a lot, ranking 19th in the world at present. This is higher than the same level of development countries and continuing to lead the BRICs. China has increased the input in innovation resource, improved innovation environment of enterprises, innovated human resource bonuses, and etc.. In addition, considering of scale advantage, the stability and coverage of innovation trend, the improvement of innovation capability and etc., this paper predicts that China has great potential in innovation capability improvement.
