The 9th China-Japan-Korea Trilateral Science and Technology Policy Seminar 2014 held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province on November 10-11, 2014. It was co-hosted by Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development (CASTED) and Institute of Policy and Management, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS/IPM). The seminar invited the National Institute of Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP) in Japan, Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) in South Korea, and Korea Institute of S&T Evaluation and Planning (KISTEP). The seminar is organized by the above-mentioned 5 institutes in turn, in order to deepen the exchange and cooperation in science, technology and innovation field.

 The seminar includes 6 sessions, such as Research Progress of the Institutes, Innovation-driven Development and Creative Economy, Evidence based Policy-making for S&T and Innovation, Science and Diplomacy, Innovation for Green Development, and Technology Foresight and Public Engagement. Over 50 researchers and scholars attended the seminar. Dr. WANG Yuan, Dr. HU Zhijian, Dr. LIU Feng, Dr. WANG Ge, Dr. CHEN Baoming, Dr. LI Zhe and Dr. MA Ying joined different sessions on behalf of CASTED and gave a speech under the topic of “Annual Report on CASTED”, “China's National Science and Technology Program Management Reform”, “EV Industry’s STI policies of China”, “Technology Assessment of China”, “The Eastward Trends of Global R&D Center”, “China’s STI Policy-Making based on National Innovation System (NIS)”, and “Evidence-based Policy Making — examples from China” respectively.
