Abstract: This paper, according to the investigation of residents from Wenchuan earthquake disaster area in 2008, 2009, and 2011, analyses the social trust of these residents and their trust in government. We get the result that the earthquake improved people's trust level in some degree. Residents in disaster area trusted the higher level government more than the local government. To this end, this paper suggests that local government should be fairer and more open and take the social trust of the public seriously.
