Abstract: Rural Community Reading Room is so far the major solution to meet reading needs of rural residents. The report outlines the history of Rural Community Library and reading situation of residents in Beijing rural area, proposes measures on innovating the service of Rural Community Reading Room. The data used in this report was obtained from nearly a thousand Beijing rural residents in 2009.
