Abstract: With the expansion of scientific research activities in China's universities, the research output grows rapidly. At the same time, the homogenization of research activities in different types of universities becomes more and more serious, which wastes the research resource a lot. It also has bad influences on the quality and efficiency of scientific research work. This paper analyses the reasons behind the homogenization and gives suggestions on how to guide universities to walk out of the predicament.
