Abstract: Since 2012, the emerging of large scale of open online courses has heated up the online education. In America, online education attracts many entrepreneurs, famous universities and venture capitals. It also receives the recognition from millions of learners around the world. Viewed from the side of technology, the development of information technology has provided a good base for online education. However, in the practical situation, online education faces with many difficulties such as assessment, certification and etc. At the same time, compared with America, the quality of China's online education is left far behind. Hence, this paper gives suggestions on how to develop China's online education.
