Abstract: Over years, poverty relief by S&T, an important way of region poverty relief and development, has promoted industrial development and improved people's livelihood in those regions. This paper, based on the investigation of Qin-ba mountain area, summarizes the features of region poverty relief strategy in the new era. It estimates the major poverty reasons and main difficulties in current poverty regions, and proposes some suggestions on boosting S&T planning, pilot projects and so on.
