Abstract: According to a poll among 30,000 scientists and technicians national wide, nearly half of them agree that scientific misconduct is common. More than half personally notice misconducts like inappropriate copy, false data, delivering one paper to more than one magazine simultaneously, or co-authoring a paper that he/she contributes nothing at all.
Most respondents believe that the existing assessment system leads to those misconducts. There are quite a number of researchers hold a tolerant attitude to the misconducts. The worried thing is there are nearly 40% researchers know little about scientific morality and scientific norm, and about 50% researchers have not systematically studied that, which brings us a big worry. According to the survey result, this paper proposes some countermeasure suggestions.
