Abstract: Non-government organization plays more and more important roles in poverty alleviation work. Indian BAIF Development Research Foundation, a professional private S&T organization, has made great contribution in poverty alleviation through S&T in poor areas. It is an important supplement to governmental work. It builds up professional management system and has a diversified investment system. It uses advanced technology products and modern management system. It keeps innovating its working method and has gained great results. This paper introduces its experience and gives suggestions for China's poverty alleviation through S&T.
